Redes sociales digitales e inclusión educativa en la educación de adultos: una revisión sistemática actual

Este artículo presenta una revisión sistemática sobre el uso de redes sociales digitales como herramientas de inclusión en la educación de adultos. El objetivo es analizar cómo estas plataformas han sido empleadas en contextos educativos inclusivos durante el periodo 2021–2025, así como identificar sus efectos, limitaciones y aportes al aprendizaje de poblaciones adultas diversas. Se realizó una revisión sistemática siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA 2020. Se efectuó en bases de datos como (Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC y SciELO), complementada con literatura gris en Google Scholar. La selección final incluyó 22 estudios empíricos y revisiones evaluados mediante herramientas del Joanna Briggs Institute y CASP. Los resultados muestran que WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube e Instagram favorecen la continuidad pedagógica, la interacción docente–estudiante, la autonomía y aprendizaje colaborativo en personas adultas. Se concluye que las redes sociales poseen potencial para promover inclusión educativa cuando su uso se integra intencionalmente al diseño pedagógico.
This article presents a systematic review of the use of digital social networks as tools for inclusion in adult education. The objective is to analyze how these platforms have been used in inclusive educational contexts during the period 2021–2025, as well as to identify their effects, limitations, and contributions to the learning of diverse adult populations. A systematic review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. It was carried out in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and SciELO, supplemented with gray literature in Google Scholar. The final selection included 22 empirical studies and reviews evaluated using tools from the Joanna Briggs Institute and CASP. The results show that WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram promote pedagogical continuity, teacher-student interaction, autonomy, and collaborative learning in adults. It is concluded that social media has the potential to promote educational inclusion when its use is intentionally integrated into pedagogical design.
