Políticas en la salud reproductiva en los programas de planificación familiar universitarios: una revisión sistemática

Introducción: La salud reproductiva en el ámbito universitario es una prioridad para las instituciones de educación superior, al influir directamente en el bienestar estudiantil y en el ejercicio de los derechos reproductivos. Objetivo: Analizar las políticas de salud reproductiva en programas de planificación familiar dirigidos a estudiantes universitarios. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión sistemática siguiendo el método PRISMA. Se analizaron 30 estudios publicados entre 2022 y 2026, recuperados de las bases de datos Scopus, Web of Science y SciELO. Resultados: Se identificaron patrones donde el conocimiento sobre anticonceptivos es adecuado, pero las prácticas reproductivas son deficientes. Las intervenciones educativas mejoran el conocimiento sin necesariamente modificar conductas, y persisten barreras socioculturales que limitan el acceso a los servicios. Asimismo, se evidencian tendencias hacia la incorporación de servicios integrales y el uso de tecnologías en programas de salud reproductiva. Conclusiones: Las políticas universitarias en salud reproductiva deben fortalecer la vinculación intersectorial, incorporar un enfoque de derechos y adaptarse culturalmente para cerrar la brecha entre conocimiento y práctica. Esto permitirá mejorar la efectividad de los programas y promover un ejercicio responsable y seguro de la salud reproductiva en la población estudiantil.
Introduction: Reproductive health within the university environment is a priority for higher education institutions, as it directly influences student well-being and the exercise of reproductive rights. Objective: To analyze reproductive health policies within family planning programs specifically designed for university students. Methodology: A systematic review was conducted adhering to the PRISMA statement. The study analyzed 30 articles published between 2022 and 2026, retrieved from the Scopus, Web of Science, and SciELO databases. Results: The findings identified patterns where contraceptive knowledge is adequate, yet reproductive practices remain deficient. Educational interventions were found to improve knowledge levels without necessarily translating into behavioral changes. Furthermore, sociocultural barriers continue to restrict access to services, although there is a growing trend toward the integration of comprehensive services and the adoption of technology in reproductive health programs. Conclusions: University reproductive health policies must strengthen intersectoral linkages, incorporate a rights-based approach, and ensure cultural adaptation to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice. Such measures will enhance program effectiveness and foster a responsible and safe exercise of reproductive health among the student population.
