Introduction: Mastery of object manipulation and precise movement execution constitutes a fundamental competency during early childhood due to its relationship with motor development, autonomy, and performance in academic activities. In this context, Augmented Reality (AR) emerges as a technological tool with the potential to generate interactive and engaging experiences that support the development of motor skills. Objective: To analyze empirical contributions published between 2022 and 2026 on the use of Augmented Reality in the development of fine motor skills among children aged 3 to 5 years. Methodology: A documentary systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines. Content analysis was employed, using a data-extraction form as the research instrument. The search was conducted in Scopus, SciELO, Dialnet, and ERIC. Of the 156 records identified, 20 studies were selected after applying the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Seventy-five percent of the studies reported significant improvements in manual precision and coordination through educational experiences supported by AR. Likewise, 60% reported increases in motivation, while 55% identified improvements related to sustained attention. The findings suggest that the interactive and multisensory experiences enabled by this technology may foster children's engagement and the development of skills associated with fine motor control. Conclusions: Augmented Reality shows promising potential for strengthening fine motor skills in children aged 3 to 5 years, particularly in terms of precision, manual coordination, motivation, and attention. However, further research using experimental designs, larger samples, and longitudinal follow-up is required to establish the magnitude and sustainability of these effects with greater confidence.
