Rural schools face challenges and opportunities when implementing inclusive education models. Therefore, this research aimed to analyze the challenges and opportunities of inclusive education in rural schools. To this end, a systematic review based on the PRISMA method was conducted, identifying 20 studies published between January 2021 and May 2025. The results reveal obstacles such as insufficient material and human resources, inadequate teacher training, and sociocultural barriers such as stigmatization or parental resistance. On the other hand, opportunities are highlighted, including pedagogical innovation with local resources, adaptive technologies without connectivity, and collaborative school-community networks. Successful experiences apply flexible curriculum designs and partnerships between schools and community actors. It is concluded that effective rural educational inclusion requires policies with territorial adaptation, prioritized allocation of resources for physical and digital infrastructure, and the establishment of evaluation systems contextualized to the environment.
